About Us

Rembesha Kenya LTD is a media company that was incorporated in 2016.

Our first product was a free monthly print and digital magazine and directory, committed to highlighting great services and products available locally in the hair and beauty industry in Kenya.

Since launch, Rembesha’s distribution numbers of the print version comprising 7,000 per month copies, were distributed to salons, spas, select beauty shops, and pharmacies across Nairobi, Kiambu, Thika, Ngong, Rongai, and as far away as Mombasa and Eldoret.

Transitioning to fully online services in 2018, the Rembesha Social Media Space has grown and key platforms that carry Rembesha content, are FaceBook and Instagram, and Twitter, with a 180,000+ following.

Over the years, the scope of content on Rembesha has taken note of the changing needs of our audience. A need for more information that touches on key concerns of the Kenyan woman-and man. Information that makes life not just a beautiful experience, but a meaningful one too!

We’re excited to dig deeper, to ‘speak something different, and provide our audience with a platform that offers information relevant to today’s changes and challenges. With more information on physical as well as mental health and wellness, career and finance, home and decor, spirituality, travel, fashion, legal aid, relationships and so much more!

We look forward to walking with you and sharing articles and information which will truly Rembesha you and your life!

Editor's Note

Remember how excited you’d feel as a child at the thought of taking off with your family? Maybe for a holiday, or a lunch date, or a visit to loved friends or cousins? Well, somewhere along the way, the older we got, the excitement that came with packing up and taking off, became lackluster at best, or sorely missing at worst!

We’d think about the trip and how long we’d be on the road, or how bad the traffic would be. We’d think about how much it would cost, and whether we booked the right spot. We wondered about what we were missing by not being where we always were. We’d fret about who would notice the kilos that crept in through the kitchen window and onto your hips when you were sleeping- I mean they couldn’t possibly get there while you had your eyes – and probably your mouth- wide open? Right?
The questions were endless, but at some point, you began to think about what lay ahead and the new adventure in the offing. You remembered why you booked that holiday, or why you chose to visit that friend and why that excursion mattered to you, and then you’d go with the flow. And so it is with Rembesha.
We are taking off again. Sailing across familiar waters and this time, exploring and venturing into new lands! We’ve had a long year to fret and worry, but it’s time to move again and bring you closer not just to services and products, but to spark and engage in conversations that are meaningful to you and us. It is often said that beauty is skin deep- but beauty is so much more than just what’s on the surface. True Beauty is far greater. It emanates from depths within, expressing itself in waves of such breathtaking wonder. I think true beauty may perhaps never be accurately defined because it is not a thing in itself, but also a process. A process that we all work on consciously – and subconsciously, in and through the lives that we live, a process of being, and of becoming. A process that the Swahili word Rembesha now calls us to do. To go beyond what is seen, to that which makes life truly beautiful.
So as we venture out again, we hope you shall find beauty- true beauty, in our pages once more!
